Knowledge Sharing for Social Innovation: The Dutch Tilburg Regional Case

Aldo de Moor will discuss community informatics and social innovation (SI) and why better knowledge sharing is a key element in improving the SI ecosystem. His presentation will focus on his work with the Tilburg regional SI ecosystem by focusing on two key elements being developed to strengthen the ecosystem: SI storytelling architecture and Knowledge Cloud. The KnowledgeCloud being developed by the Tilburg public library consisting of an online platform and a set of online and physical services (Community Librarian, KnowledgeWorkshop, Think Tank Service etc.) as a way to link the knowlede creation and sharing in the regional network of organizations, networks, and communities. He will engage the audience in discussion about community engagement, building collaborative partnerships, and the relationship between SI and Corporate Social Responsibility.
